Recieved this unit today and had great hopes for this unit after reading the reviews. Unfortunately the unit I recieved had a crack on the under side and something was rattling away inside the unit. Wanting to check if the unit was broken completely, turned on the compressor and the rattling got really bad, so immediately shut it down. Hopefully Amazon allows an exchange of the unit for a unbroken piece instead. Lets see what happens when I call them tomorrow.

I orderd this item thinking that I would be able to breifly run a power tool at fishing camp. I recieved the charger, charged it like the directions explain to do, when it was done charging I wanted to see how long the power would last. I plugged my Kirby sweeper into the charger and it ran for exactly one minute seven seconds (timed) then it would flicker power to the sweeper on, off, on, off, (as if I was turning on and off a light switch). This item is intended for powering a lamp, plug in flash light (something very light weight power)!! NOT for power tool, car jump, sweeper!!!

The air compressor function is basically useless when it comes to cars. As a jumpstarter a good product though!

I bought this item a few weeks ago after reading lot of its reviews. So far I have not had a chance to use any of its features. However I think I will when winter comes to jumpstart my SUV. It is compact and light. It can be stored easily in your car or truck. I charged it once at arrival (+/- 4 weeks ago) and the charge still holds until today. The compressor is very loud. I give it a 4 stars now since I do not know how reliable it is when I need it.
